Follow these steps to pair Voicebuds with your Mac. Pairing only needs to be done once — after that, Voicebuds reconnect automatically when you remove Voicebuds from the case near your Mac.
Before you start
- Voicebuds and the case have enough charge to power on
- Bluetooth is enabled on your Mac (System Settings → Bluetooth → ON)
Steps
Pair with macOS first — the Subtle app connects to Voicebuds that your Mac already knows.
- Open the case near your Mac and leave it open.
- Press and hold the Pairing Button for 3 seconds until the light begins to slowly pulse white to indicate pairing mode.
- On your Mac, open System Settings → Bluetooth and select "Subtle Voicebuds".
- If macOS shows a Bluetooth pairing request, click Pair. Voicebuds now appear in System Settings → Bluetooth as a connected device.
- Open the Subtle app — it connects to your paired Voicebuds automatically. You can confirm in Voicebuds settings, which should say Connected (use the Connect button there if it doesn't).
Your Voicebuds can be paired to both your iPhone and Mac at the same time, but active audio only plays through one device at a time.
