Every Voicebuds purchase includes one year of Subtle membership. Here's what that gets you, what happens when it ends, and how the free tier compares.
What's included with membership
- Unlimited dictation — use the Subtle keyboard in any app without usage caps
- Unlimited voice notes — record and transcribe as many notes as you like
- Unlimited AI chat — full access to Subtle's AI assistant by voice or text
- One year included — starts from the date your membership activates (not necessarily your order date)
After the first year
At the end of your included year, membership automatically renews at $17/month unless you cancel or switch to the free tier before the renewal date.
Free tier
If you downgrade to the free tier, Voicebuds still work as wireless earbuds (music, calls, noise cancellation). AI features — dictation, notes, and chat — become rate-limited. The exact limits of the free tier will be communicated in the app before your renewal.
How to check your current status
Go to Account → Subscription in the Subtle app to see your current plan, renewal date, and any available options.
Activating your membership
Your membership is linked to the email address used at checkout. When you sign into the Subtle app with that same email, your membership activates. If your plan doesn't appear, confirm you're signed in with the checkout email — not a different address.
