If you were charged for a Subtle subscription you didn't intend to activate, Subtle's Terms provide a process for reversing inadvertent charges.
What qualifies
An inadvertent subscription charge is one where you were charged in error — for example, an auto-renewal you didn't expect, or a charge on an account you didn't intend to activate. This is separate from a refund request for a charge you authorised but want to reverse.
How to request a reversal
- Gather your evidence: a screenshot of the transaction showing the date, amount, and last four digits of the card (redact anything unrelated).
- Contact support@subtle.co and explicitly state: "I believe this is an inadvertent subscription charge and I am requesting a reversal."
- Include: your account email, the charge date, the amount, and the transaction screenshot.
What happens next
Subtle's Terms state that if you provide written notice of an inadvertent charge, Subtle will have the charge reversed. Processing time depends on your bank and card issuer, but typically appears within 5–10 business days once initiated.
Multiple accounts or emails?
If you may have multiple Subtle accounts, confirm which email address was charged — often the checkout email rather than a personal email you use regularly. We can look this up for you if needed.
Chargebacks
We recommend contacting us before initiating a chargeback with your bank. Chargebacks can delay resolution and may affect your account. We're committed to resolving billing errors quickly.
