Keeping your Voicebuds clean extends their life and maintains audio quality. Here's what's safe, what isn't, and what IPX4 really means.
Water resistance — what IPX4 means
Voicebuds are rated IPX4, which means they're protected against water splashing from any direction. This covers:
- Sweat during workouts
- Light rain
- Accidental splashes
IPX4 does not cover submersion, running water, or shower use. Using Voicebuds in those conditions can cause damage not covered by the warranty.
After workouts or rain
- Remove Voicebuds and wipe them dry with a soft, lint-free cloth.
- Wipe the charging contacts on both the earbuds and the case before placing them back.
- Leave the case open briefly to let any residual moisture evaporate before charging.
Routine cleaning
- Use a dry, soft cloth to wipe ear tips and earbud bodies.
- Remove ear tips and clean them separately with a slightly damp cloth if needed — let them dry completely before reattaching.
- Do not use alcohol, solvents, or compressed air directly on the speaker mesh or microphone ports.
Charging contacts
If Voicebuds aren't charging, inspect the charging contacts on the earbuds and case. Gently clean them with a dry cotton swab — even a small amount of debris or moisture can interrupt the connection.
Storage
Store Voicebuds in the case when not in use. Avoid leaving them in direct sunlight, extreme heat (e.g. a hot car), or high-humidity environments for extended periods.
