A good fit improves audio quality, microphone pickup, and comfort during long sessions. Voicebuds come with multiple ear tip sizes — here's how to find the right one.
Finding your fit
- Start with Medium (M) tips — these fit most ears and are the default ear tips.
- Insert Voicebuds by gently twisting them into your ear canal until they feel stable.
- Play some audio and listen for bass response. A good seal produces fuller sound. If audio sounds thin or distant, try a larger size.
- If you feel pressure or discomfort after a few minutes, try a smaller size.
- The best fit is stable, comfortable, and creates a light acoustic seal — not tight or painful.
Changing ear tips
- Pinch and gently pull the silicone tip off the earbud nozzle.
- Align the new tip and press it onto the nozzle until it clicks or sits flush.
- Confirm it's seated evenly — an uneven tip can fall off or cause sound leakage.
Using different sizes per ear
It's completely normal to use different tip sizes on left and right. Your ear canal size can differ between sides.
Impact on dictation quality
A proper seal also improves microphone isolation, which means better dictation accuracy in noisy environments. If accuracy drops, reseating your earbuds is always a good first step.
