If the Subtle app can't find your Voicebuds during pairing, work through the steps below in order.
Quick checks first
- Bluetooth is on: iPhone Settings → Bluetooth → confirm the toggle is green.
- Case is open and near your phone: Hold the open case within 30 cm of your iPhone.
- Voicebuds are in the case: They need to be seated in the case to broadcast their pairing signal.
Step-by-step fixes
- Reset the pairing state: Close the case, wait 10 seconds, then reopen it next to your iPhone.
- Retry Connect: In the Subtle app, tap Connect again.
- Forget and re-pair (if you paired before): Go to iPhone Settings → Bluetooth → find your Voicebuds in the list → tap the ⓘ icon → Forget This Device. Then return to the Subtle app and retry pairing from scratch.
- Force close and reopen Subtle: Swipe up on the app to close it, reopen, and try again.
- Restart Bluetooth: In iPhone Settings, toggle Bluetooth off and back on, then retry.

Contact support@subtle.co and include: a screenshot of the "Voicebuds not found" state, your iPhone model and iOS version, and whether your Voicebuds appear anywhere in iOS Settings → Bluetooth.
