Subtle's AI chat lets you have a conversation — by voice or text — powered by AI. Here's how to start your first one.
Steps
- From the Home feed, tap the + button and choose AI Chat.
- Type your question in the prompt box — or open the chat and hold the mic to speak it.
- The AI responds in the chat window. Continue by typing or dictating your follow-up.
What to expect
- AI responses require an internet connection and with slower connections may take longer.
- Responses can be inaccurate — review them before acting on advice or sharing the content. Subtle explicitly notes that AI outputs are not guaranteed to be accurate.
- Chat is read-only when offline. Reconnect to continue an active conversation.
- AI processing is handled by Subtle’s enterprise AI providers with contractual data protections. See Voice activation, third-party AI, and your consent responsibilities for details.
Voice vs. typing
Both work at any time in a chat. Voice uses your Voicebuds mic or the phone mic for hands-free input. Typing uses the standard system keyboard — inside the Subtle app, text fields don’t use custom keyboards.
